Because I love Sket Dance manga and anime, the end of anime airing was a bit sad, right?. Today I was thinking about Sket Dance, and somehow, the name of a famous american TV show came to my mind.  The name of that was "Ned's Decclassfied School Survival Guide".

Actually, Sket Dance and "Ned's Decclassfied School Survival Guide" are too similar I thought.  First,  let's talk a bit about "Ned's Decclassfied School Survival Guide".  This was an american teenager live action sitcom with a bit drama sometimes, was produced by Nickelodeon.  The first episode was aired in the U.S. in September 7 of 2004 and last episode was aired in June 27 of 2007.  The original author was Scott Fellows.  Sket Dance first publication was made in Shueisha's manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, in July 7 of 2007.  Ned's show was aired in many countries of Europe, Latin America, Canada, U.S., and Japan (?).

In next scenes, could be the american live action Sket Dance?

About the plot:

The main action often happened at California's James K. Polk middle school.

The protagonist was Ned Bigby.  Ned daily helps his friends, himself and give advices to the audience. (about many troubles in the school life)

Ned has two friends. The attractive, sporty and strong girl "Jennifer Mosely" and the cyber genius black boy "Simon Nelson Cook".  Jennifer's nickname is "Moze".

Simon's nickname is "Cookie".

Ned, Moze and Cookie are the 3 main characters in the series.

"We are NDSSG!"

             "We are SKET DANCE!"

Each episode of the show always had two parts, with two different stories.  This show was very funny with a sophisticated american comedy and sometimes had drama between characters.  The main theme was about show how to solve school life troubles, main characters helping each other to solve troubles they had or helping other students too. Sometimes had romance tension too.  For example, between Ned and Suzie, Ned and Missy, then, Ned and Moze.  For Cookie, were Lisa, Vanessa and Evelyn.

Love triangles were often saw in the series too, for example between Ned Bossun, Moze Himeko and Missy Saaya

Ned's character was intelligent, funny and lazy.  For solve his own problems, always liked to take the "easy way" and  getting low grades at school. But in the case of his friends, made many calculated plans, sometimes failing at beginning, but always at last, with success.  Many times, the teamwork between Ned, Moze and Cookie was great, often, Ned as the leader

                                   Bossun?

Moze was Ned's best friend and support.  Often, you could see Moze be around Ned and Cookie, as united group, although, she always wanted have a girl as friend, not just boys as friends.  Moze was very skillful in many school activities, specially with Voleyball.  Although, if she had a trouble she can't solve by herself, then always asked help to Ned and Cookie.  She fell in love with Ned, but both were shy at beginning.  But she had other boyfriends.  Her personality was always funny, believing in her friends and sometimes temperamental, making a great funny moments with Ned and Cookie.

Cookie was the cyber nerd.  Always using technology for help himself and others.  Inside of his locker have a motherboard and inside his pants a printer.  Of course, you can't have a nerd without glasses, but Cookie's glasses have a computer's display.  His love interest was an unattractive girl called Lisa, but after, this girl becomes an attractive girl.  In this aspect, do you think Sket Dance Reiko's have this feature?

Switch's eternal rival Reiko, and Cookie's eternal rival Evelyn.

Don't mess with the group of geeks!

Of course, the idea of talking by a computer probably came from the famous theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.

These are just the main characters, but there are a lot of interesting and funny characters.

Main support of Ned's group, the incredible Gordy, almost failing in his own experiments, don't you remember the main support of Sket Dance group with similar features?,   Mr. Sweeney at 3rd season support Ned too.

The sports geeks!

The appearance of nerds with Yabasawa, although I think Sket Dance's Reiko have similar features of two characters from Ned's show, Lisa Zemo and Evelyn Kwong,  think about it. ;)

Who can forget the funny and proactive teacher, Mr. Monroe.
"Bullies have feelings too, don't mess with us!"  ;(

"Do I look like a geek?"

 "Girls can be rude too".

"I'm blonde, sometimes use pigtails and don't have huge boobs, but stop saying that I'm essentially tsundere, OKAY!?"

"We swear defeat our eternal rivals!"

"We are not silly, just too cute for you!"

"Show me your pants!"                                                                 "Show me your boobs!"
Typical japanese male's way of see the world O.O
"Japanese young female teenagers love show you their attributes using sexy bikinis" (false statement thought)

The real world  :D

If you have chance, watch Ned's show, it's very funny.  As I thought, if you compare Ned's show with Sket Dance, have many similarities, however, both are awesome TV shows.

In the image of below, can you see the hidden message?, which characters make a straight line?, or in this case, a diagonal line?, just don't forget that in anime world, because maybe cool black people are an endangered race, you don't see them often, although, in real life, in Japan there are many famous black people.  :D

"We are Americans in the heart!"
